why do we use star-delta starter. what is its need?

We use star to delta bcoz it can reduce the motor current carrying capacity up to 1/3 times. For DOL stater it's starting current and running is same

During FEED, you will have all the information with regards to cable. How will you calculate the MTO for MV and LV Cables? what are your considerations?
I don't understand why when we connect high voltage source in DC to electronic motor , we must add capacitor and resistor in parallel ?
