Training is the acquisition of knowledge and skills through
a formal settings. The aim is to enhance the efficiency of
an employee as he carries his present responsibilities of
his job. Training is more of job orientation and to achieve
shortterm objectives. Development is a course of action
designed to enable individuals realise their pontentials
for growth in the organisation. Development is more of
career orientation and is to achieve longterm objectives .
