how can i distribute 5GB of RAM to 3 JVM's in Linux 32 and 64-
bit OS?
Answer Posted / pravin b
Hi,
The limit of heap size distribution depends on the
combination of 32-bit JVM and 32 / 64-bit OS and also
depends on windows os and unix/linux os.
For windows OS , heap size would be less as compared to
solaris & linux
As per the Oracle-sun documentation
32-bit Jvm and 32-bit OS :-> max 2gb heap size
32-bit JVM and 64-bit OS :-> max 4gb heap size
for
64-bit JVM and 64-bit OS :-> beyond 4gb heap size
