Regular Dimensions
Regular dimensions represent descriptive data that provides
context for data modeled in measure dimensions. A regular
dimension is broken into groups of information called levels
which is organized into hierarchies. In turn, the various
levels can be. E.g. hierarchies of a product can be Prdt no,
Prdt name, Prdt line, Prdt description. Used in analysis
studio & in drill up & down methods.
Measure Dimensions
Measure dimensions represent the quantitative data described
by regular dimensions. Measure dimension is the object that
contains the fact data & Measure dimensions differ from fact
table because they do not include the foreign keys.
