in india ac frequency is 50hz, but in foreign countries it
is 60hz,whwt is the reason

It is mostly a matter of convinence. you can produce power
at any frequency. but for the purpose of matching or
connectivity to other bigger networks, one is forced to
match the frequency. its therefore inevitable that you
produce power at a frequency your regional power grid is
on. conventionally your apparatus will mostly be rated for
the two frequencies 50/60Hz because they are the most common
