extraction is the main task in sap bi. extraction is nothing but extracting data from r/3 or ecc system. we have different types of extractions in sap bi. they are lo data extractiion, fi extraction, generic extraction,copa extraction. under generic extraction we have function module extraction. lo data extraction, fi extraction all are available under business content extraction. whenever suitable business content is not available between source system and target system at that time we will go for generic extraction. in real time mostly business content extraction is used.
