AC SIGNALS - SQUARE WAVE, TRIANGULAR WAVE, SINE WAVE, COSINE WAVE, RECTANGULAR WAVE, ETC. SINUSOIDAL - SINE WAVE OR COSINE WAVE. WE KNOW THAT, INDUCED E.M.F = RATE OF CHANGE OF FLUX W.R.T TIME. SO, IF FLUX OR CURRENT (FLUX IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO CURRENT) IS SINUSOIDAL, WE EASILY OBTAINED E.M.F. BECAUSE SINUSOIDAL WAVE ARE CONTINUOUS & EASILY DIFFERENTIABLE BUT NONSINUSOIDAL WAVES ( SQUARE, TRIANGULAR, RECTANGULAR WAVES) ARE DISCONTINUOUS IN NATURE & ARE NOT DIFFERENTIABLE.
