I have energy of (220V*1A=)220W. I want to convert it into
(12V*15A=)180W. Is this possible? If yes, then how?
Answer Posted / maddy
energy can neither be created nor destroyed...220 W has to be dissipated to convert to reduce to 180 W. that is, electrical energy is to be converted to heat or light etc.
using step down transformer if you reduce the voltage, the current rating will increase to maintain the power.
