what is spill current?

Answer Posted / ahmed mustafa

Transformers have errors arising from both Watt metric and
magnetizing current losses that cause deviation from the
ideal and the interconnection between them may have unequal
impedance, this can give rise to spill current through the
relay even if no fault has been detected.
