Controller gives 4 to 20 mA signal to I-P converter & I-P
converter gives 0.2 to 1.0 Bar air pressure to control valve
for open or close operation against the balance force of
actuator spring.

What happen if I install my pressure transmitter below the elevation of pipe in natural gas service?
Why 4-20 amps is being used in instruments? Why cant we use any other range instead of 4-20 amps? Why only 4 amps is taken as lower limit and why 20 amps is taken as the higher limit?
