In NMOS current flows due to electrons. But in PMOS, it is
due to holes.A logic "high" is required to switch the device
"ON" in NMOS. But in PMOS logic "low" will switch the device
"ON".
NMOS are faster than PMOS because electrons(carriers in
NMOS) velocity is twice the holes(carriers in PMOS) velocity.
