what is critical thikness of insulation.

Answer Posted / parthiban

critical thickness of insulation is the ratio of heat transfer
coefficient to the thermal conductivity of the material under
heat transfer . r0=h/k.(m). insulation radius less than
critical value suits for electric cables etc. on the contrary
value higher than critical value suits for steam generation
purpose,etc...
