Before you can answer this question you must knoiw the load
power factor.
KVAR amps = KVAR/(kv x 1.73) eg 600 kvar 400 volts
600/
(0.4 x 1.73 = 867 amps
To determine tha KVAR required you must know the existing PF
Then you determine what you want the new PF to be before
you can calculate the new PF.
