What happen if an alternator rotates in reverse direction?
Answer Posted / loku
if the prime mover rotates in the other direction then too
the alternator will develop voltage with phases reversed. but
in case of motoring the alternator will not rotate in
reverse direction its just that it will behave as a motor,
rotate in the same direction, and damage the m/c.
