which type of starter is suitable for single phase motor ?

Generally there is no
need of starters for
single phase motors
because they have
very low inertia.
Only an over volt
relay or fuse of
required rating near
main switch should be
suitable.
However if there is no
economical problem
then d.o.l starter may
be used.
