Strength is property of material to resisi the deformation caused by the loading.
And Toughness is the shearing resistance property of material
Example:-
1. The tyre of any vechile has higher hardness and Tyre of aeroplane is higher toughness. Because it is sheared with the surface at long timt when it runs on the runway.
