Why electrical engineer use Cu Strip for transformer
neutral why not GI Strip? What if we use GI instead of Cu
does it affects the transformer performance.
Answer Posted / sam
no issue in using GI strip for transformer earthing, but the problem is the GI strip used should be of sufficient size while copper strip used can be of reduced size, so places where space constraints occur, copper strips are used, moreover economical considerations are also important in chosing the strips. It won't affect the transformer performance if GI is used instead of copper.
