ANS:
1. Security:
VLAN's enhance network security by dividing into multiple
broadcast domain. e.g. If group of users needing high
security can be put into a VLAN so the outside user of the
vlan can not communicate with them. Also keep the sensitive
data on a separate VLAN.
2. Performance:
In single broadcast domain there are too many broadcast. By
creating different VLAN it reduce the broadcast and as well
as to help in reducing the bandwidth consumption in the
network and increase the performance.
Also by creating separate vlan it possible to separate
traffic e.g. to separate traffic of voice and data separately.
3. Flexibility:
By using VLAN it can be possible to logically divide the
group as per the requirement. It is more manageable and ease
of adding and deleting and changing between different group
to the users.
