why in scott connection of transformers, main transformer is
tapped at 50% and teaser transformer at 86.6%?

Scott connection changes three phase to two phase supply.by
taping 87% and 50% tapping its provides 90 degree phase
difference in output two phase supply which is essential to
two phase system
