In Web based application, First thing we need to Perform Usability testing(e.g: easy of use, user friendly & short navigation), Second is Performance testing(e.g: Load, Stress, Spike testings), Third one is Browser Compatibility testing and Security testing.
In Client based application, test the application is loaded on server machine while the application exe on every client machine and conduct the same testing which you have performed on web based application.

Hi,all i have a desktop App. which have a feature, It's a demo version if u want full version then u have to perches it. Pls give me some idea ASAP how can i break the App.
1) how will you do validation testing in combo box ? (2)Suppose user does not want maximum length validation message, but when tester inserts data in textbox and it gets truncated, how will you resolve this issue ?
