In Ferranti effect,Receiving end voltage is greater than
sending voltage,why? can anybody tell me the answer

The charging current produces drop in the reactance in the
transmission line which is in phase opposition to the
receiving end voltage.hence sending end voltage is smaller
than receiving end voltage

why do you add the load short circuit impedance when considering short circuit amperage. It seems that you should only consider supply. If you need to consider loads and you don't know what loads are to be added , what would be a good sub-transient reactance rating for the loads?
