A person has Rs 100/- in his pocket, he can as 25 pencils
or 15books.He kept 15% of the money for travelling expenses
and purchased 5 pencils. So how many books he can purchase
with the remaining money.
a) 4 b) 3 c) 5 d)none

Answer Posted / rahul

he has rs100
rs 100/25 = rs 4 per pencil
rs 100/15 = rs 6.66 per book

rs 100 - 15(he keeps 15%) - 20 (he buys 5 pencils)
=
rs 65 then

65 / 6.66 per book = 9 books = 59.94
65 - 59.94 = 5.06 means
he buys 9 books and has rs 5.06 change
