What is the basic difference between Latches and Flip flops?
Answer Posted / vinay kumar
latch:-
the simplest type of flip flop ,consisting of two cross
coupled NAND OR NOR universal gates uses latches.it is
bistable digital circuit used for storing a bit or latch are
bistable whose state normally depend on asynchronous inputs.
FLIP FLOP:-
a two states circuit that can remain in either state
indefinitely. also called bistable multivibrator . an
external trigger can changes the output stage. edge
triggered flip flop are bistable device with synchronous
inputs whose state depends on the inputs only at the
triggering transition of a clock pulse . change in the
outputs occur at the triggering transition of the clock.
