what is different between multiplexer and demultiplexer?

MUX: It is a combinational circuit that selects binary
information from one of many input lines directs it a
single output.
DEmux:It takes a singledata input and n address input and
2^n outputs.
n address input determine whih data output is going to have
same value as data output.
