why are maintine power factor 0.99 in Eb line?
why are used capacitor bank in Eb line?
what is the purpose capacitor bank?

Generally capacitors are used to improve power factors in inductive loads... Inductive load will reduce the current phase with voltage.. so lagging power factor is obtained.. in order to recover that, capacitance is provided which will reduce the voltage phase with current..so the pf remains almost near to 1(not exactly one)...
