commutator is unit which converts AC voltage into
Unidirection DC Voltage. The voltage generated in the DC
machine is in alternating nature. Because of this reasion
commutator is attached with DC machine.

I have 4 DG set with 1500KVA rating. system breakers are 11KV & alternator are 415 Volts. Between alternator & breaker one stepup transformer used. i want to Know what is max. resistance for body earthing & 415 & 11KV V Neuteal earthing. my fault current is 14 times for 2 sec.
What happens if the Capacitive Voltage Transformer Primary neutral is not earthed. There is a CVT between Transformer and source, and the CVT neutral of the transformer is not earthed, does it effect the transformer while charging or does it effect the transformer charging process.
