The difference between stainer and filter is that srainer
is used to remove coarse particles of 150 microns while
filter is used to removed fine particles or impurities of
40 microns.Filter is used commonly aboard ship for
lubrication or fuel system to prevent seizure fom the
moving parts of the main engine.
