Mucous is a slimy layer
present in various
tissues or organs in
our body..but as far as
respiration is
concerned,mucous
layer present in our
nasal chamber traps
down d dust particles
and mainly d deadly
microorganisms..so in
one word,mucous layer
prevents d disease
causing
microorganisms and
dust entering our
respiratory system..
