When circuit is capacitive, the current waveform is ahead
of voltage waveform by an angle. The cosine of this angle
is called leading power factor.
and when ciruit is inductive the , current waveform is
behind of voltage waveform by an angle.The cosine of this
angle is called lagging power factor.
