Why are transmission lines multiples of 11? Is it because of
some historic reason ? Or is there a scientific base to it?
Answer Posted / nagarjuna
because of form factor always we go for sinusoidal in
practical and rms vaue required so the value is 1.11,and one
more reason as per the indian standards (BIU) .if we use
13kv and one may use 23kv , so that the equipment for
designing is very difficult so we go for standard notation
as per BIU
