why Ac current is alternating in nature?(or)why alternating current changes its direction?

assume a coil place in maganetic feild when it rotate it
will change its position. after half time period its
position reverse so ac current change direction after every
half time peried

following are the questions asked in interviews: 1) Considering the short circuit fault, which switchgear is preferable, SFU OR MCCB? Which operates faster? whicg one is popular in Indian Market and why? 2)Define SCPD.
