1.invoke the application .(G.u.I)
2.check all the objects are available as per (log in object
table)
3. check all the objects are aligned and maintained
consistency & freed from grammar and spelling mistakes
4. enter any data in the username field and press clear, data
must be cleared and cursor must be at username field
5. enter valid and also invalid data as per valid input table
and invalid input table
6.when you press log in whether the page is directed to
home page or not
7.tabbing order when you enter any data and when you press
tab cursor must be jump to next field
8. Can't access your account link is directing to its related page or not
9. create an account button, when you press that is it taking to registration page or not
10.after entering valid username and password you will be directed to the home page whether the home page is having
all the valid data like mail, photos, scholar, more, buzz,
starred, important, sent mail, drafts , notes, personal ,travel, documents, web, orkut, etc.
10. If you are having every thing then click on each and
every field or link and observer wether the page is directing to concern page or not
11. as far as negative testing we need to give improper username and password and check weather we can log in or not

How to write a test cases for the following Please it is urgent Once user clicks that link Invite Friend page opens up thru which user can do 2 functions - first is to search friends detail(name, mail id) from her address book in other sites (india times, yahoo, gmail and rediff) and second to mail the invite to the selected person/s. Searching friends detail in other address books will work like this: - User will input name, email id, pwd etc, select from which site she want to get friends list and then click on Import. - Users address book from other sites will be imported in one shot(first time) to iDiva database. - It will be arranged in alphabetical order(complete list) and mail ids which are already used will be in different color. - User will be able to update her address book by clicking on ""Refresh"" button on the page, which will trigger the process again, and fetch new mail ids.
