Due to density/mass
flow rate of fuel the
entire cylinder volume
(stroke vol) is not filld
wth fuel, ths tend to
decrease vol. Eff.
In order to alow mor
fuel entr the cylindr,
the valve opening ang.
Is incrsd by few deg.
Similar adjustmnt is
also done during
exhaust strok in ordr to
remve all or most of
exhst gases out of
cylinder...
