In pmcmd command we need to type -p:password. Will it be
visible to others who is having access to this file ?

NO. It is not visible
For Example:
$PMDIR/pmcmd startworkflow -s ${PMSERVER} -u ${PMUSER} -p
${PMLOSEN} -f EMPSAL -wait wf_s_m_emp_sal_detail
