Fault level is useful to decide Circuit Breaker rating in
power system . Major factors affecting the fault level are
1. Number of Lines connected to Bus bar & their lengths
2. distance of the s/s from source i.e generator. Capacity
of power station. path of power from the power plant.
3. soil strata. etc
