we all know that both the generator and motor are
electromechanical conversion devices.....then why we rate
motor in kw and generator in kva????

motor is having rated capicity in kw and pf but generater
dont have rated pf. pf may be vary depending upon load. and
for calculation of kw requires specific pf.
