xlpe cable can stand for higher temperature(90'c)as
compared to pvc.PVC cables can stand for temperature(70'c).
Pvc cable more reliable from xlpe cables.
But XLPE has the following advantages over PVC insulated
cables:
1.They have high overload capacity.
2.Lighter in weight, smaller bend radius, hence lesser
installation cost.
3.It has higher short circuit rating.
4.It has lower di -electric and constant power factor :
This results in saving of power losses.
