This is a poor question. There are no disadvantages to
aliases. It's either a trap question or the interviewer
doesn't understand what aliases are used for. Aliases are
the correct tool to use in the correct circumstances -
where a table is being used in a universe twice, for
different purposes. For example, a calendar table would be
aliased to represent the different types of date in the
universe - order date, sale date, ship date, invoice date
and so on.
