Is there any problem if i connect APFC panel in generator

APFC is employed when the gen is connected to grid and the
grid voltage is continually fluctuating,so that the pf
remains constant, as otherwise the operator has to vary the
excitation every now and then.But with this mode gen voltage
may rise if the grid fails.
