What are Homogeneous system copy and Heterogeneous system
copy and how you will do that?

Answer Posted / g prasanna kumar

HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM COPY IS BETWEEN SAME OS AND SAME DB.
WHETHER VERSION IS NOT SAME CONSIDERED HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM
COPY.I.e. EX. ORACLE 8.1.2 TO ORACLE9.2.1,OR WIN 2000 T
WIN2003 ETC.

BUT HETEROGENEOUS(MIGRATION) IS NOT LIKE THAT.. ITS
STRICTLY BETWEEN TWO DIFFERENT DB OR OS, LIKE MS-SQL TO
ORACLE. OR WINDOWS 2003 TO UNIX LIKE THAT...
