1. there should be enough space in database
2. there should be enough space in usr\sap\trans directory
3. there should be atleast two background workprocess running
4. the two reports RDDIMPDP AND RDDNEWPP should be scheluded
in background
5.spam should be updated
6.verify backup is executed successfully
7.ensure that executables r3trans,tp,sapcar are updated
8.download known problems while apply support packages
specific to version
9.apply in sequence basis, abap, appl HR etc..
10.apply the patches through 000 client only
