I don’t understand clearly about global catalog server. I
think we have global catalog server can help improve the
respond time user query.
But do we need only one or more global catalog server is
better. What different effects?

Answer Posted / gautam

Yes Global catalog improves performance of users query in
multidomain/ Exchange environment. Where in multidomain
environment users query to GC do not makes further referal
to different domain increasing response time. In Exchange
environment Glogal catalog is heavily utilized during
searching users in GAL. So having multiple GC will help in
multidomain and Exchange environment.
