why dc power can not be used in transformer?
Answer Posted / dan g
The only way DC can be used is if the current is turned on
and off by some kind of switching device. This is how
automobile ignitions work. This on and off of the DC
current creates the difference in "flux" or charge of
current in the primary winding which will be induced into
the secondary winding at the time of change.
