why can't we provide dc supply to a transformer?

Answer Posted / sethu ramanj

1. There is no rate of change of current.
2. When we supply dc current to a inductor, the inductor just
act as a resistor. Due to low resistance of inductor more
current will flow through it and it will damage the inductor
coil and power devices.

if i am wrong plz correct me!!
