Metrics is nothing but numbers about software Testing.
for example:
Number of test cases prepared/Man hour
Number of Test cases executed/man hour
Number of Test cases passed
Number of Test cases failed
Number of Test cases blocked
Number of Test cases invalid
Number of test cases redrafted
Number of defects per module
Number of defects discoved per cycle/round of testing
Defect reducing rate/cycle...etc
