A cyclic organic compound containing all carbons in ring
formation is referred as a carbocyclic compounds

If at least one atom other than carbon, forms a part of ring
system then it is disgnated as a heterocyclic compound

like O,N,S,Se,Te,P,As Si,Ge VALENCIES of these atoms is
2,3,2,2,2,3,3,4,4 respectively.
