why dc power can not be used in transformer?
Answer Posted / nitish balaji
As ac supply has change in flux it obeys mutual induction
principle. but if you use dc supply there wont be any
change in flux and it wont obey mutual induction principle
and when dc power is supplied to transformer the primary
winding gets damaged as the power in primary is increased
and it is not induced in secondary. so dc power used in
transformer damages it.
