EDI- Is nothing but Electronic data interchange used for
exchaging the business document between the computer
systems of business partners, using a standard format over
a communication network.
Usually information can be exchaged from sap to sap or sap
to non sap or non sap to sap through IDOC.
ALE- Application Link Enabling is nothing used to provide
linkage between other application or modules like CRM,
BW/BI, APO, IS-Utilities.
Example-If company operating business from multiple
application or server or database as above mentioned, then
system has to be connect through ALE so as to share a data.
Debugging- Debugging nothing but finding error/bug and
rectify those bug/error.
In sap i guess we have 2 methods 1 is standard and 2nd is
automatic. Usually in realtime while debugging the
programme we are using or setting breakpoints where actual
the debug get end or stop.
In other word its nothing but tracing the bug in ABAP
program, bcoz in most scenarios abapers written lengthy
program and it difficult to trace eror or check each and
every line of program so as to avoide this we use debugging
to trace particular error in whole programe.
Smart Forms- it defines the layout of ur output document.
In sap there are many output type eg. Order Confirmation,
Shipping list, Shipping notification, delivery note,
verious invoice type. so as to map them in particular style
or layout we are using smart forms.
by smart forms we can insert image, font we can change how
item should be displayed horizantal or vertical companies
logo, address should come first or last line of invoice
etc.. u get one hard copy of Purchase order or invoice and
see its layout that is done in sap by using smart forms.
Smart forms are advance than the script.
IDOC- these are intermidatery document used to exchange the
information from sap to sap or sap to non sap or non sap to
sap.
Eg. suppose if buyer creates PO and that stores in his
databse say he/she using oracle. if I require that data i
need to create a IDOC and upload that PO from his database.
Its an envelope that content the address where this
information has to go and store.
BDOC- Idont know about BDOCs plz go to this below link and
