KVA is the Apparent Power rating which has two components: one is Active and another is Reactive. And KW is the Active Power rating. KW depends upon load power factor. Generally electrical equipments like Transformer are rated in KVA because KW is not constant. It depends on power factor but KVA doesn't depend on Load power factor.
KW/KVA=cos(phi)=power factor

what is self capacitance of inductor
In Indian Household, generally we receive 220V AC single phase supply. But AC has 2 phases, +ve & -ve. So in +ve half cycle current is flowing...so what happens in the -ve half cycle?? Please illustrate.
