why there is no short circuit when any resistance is used
between phase and neutral?
Answer Posted / shyamkr
i totally agree with mr. srivalli but like to add 1 more
point here.short circuit occurs in one phase system when
phase and neutral comes in contact with each other i.e there
is no potential drop occurs phase and neutral wire and phase
and neutral are in same potential,so short circuit.but when
any resistance is used in between phase and neutral, there is
some potential drop occurs between phase and neutral,so
,ther is some potential drop between phase and neutral and
there is no short circuit.
